Welcome to the BCTGM Local Union No. 1

Local 1 had the honor to attend the 40th Constitutional Convention of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union in Las Vegas, Nevada from August 8th though the 15th. Delegates from Alpha Baking Company, Schulze and Burch and Tootsie Roll were in attendance along with the Local Officers. We met with other Delegates, Local Union Officers and various Union’s from all over the country, with solidarity in mind.

Our Union Brother and Sisters from Tootsie Roll Industries in Chicago, IL, reunited and had the party of a lifetime on August 25, 2018. Current employees as well as retired members, along with friends and family, were in attendance to celebrate life long friendships that have been formed over the years. The reunion was organized by our amazing Union members.
